This is an extraordinary yarn painting that measures 12" x 12". Samuel Hernandez Cosio is the son of Gonzalo Hernandez one of the pionerrs of the yarn art who learned his trade from Mariano Valadez and the Huichol Center for Cultural Survival.
As a student, Samuel learned the value of utilizing the finest threads on the market to create incredibly detailed yarn paintings that reflect his cultures customs and traditions as well as his own visions from consuming peyote during ceremony.
Samuel's family are originally from the ceremonial center of San Andres Cohamiata in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.
