We are based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where we have run a Native Folk Art Gallery since 1997 that works directly with the Huichol artists and their families. This is a yarn painting that measures 9.5" x 9.5" Excelente’s art is a blend of surrealism with the classic style of Wixarika (Huichol) art. His artwork adopts the old symbols and portrays them in new ways. For example, his series of fractal surrealism shows the way in which peyote guides the shaman towards enlightenment.
