Welcome to Peyote People.
Oaxacan wood carvings are most commonly known as Alebrijes. This beautiful form of folk art stands out in any decor.
The Alebrijes mainly come from two towns in Oaxaca called San Martin Tilcajete and Santiago Arrazola.
This wood has large quantities of water, thus it is very malleable and easy to carve. Due to the large quantities of water and all the coats of paint, the average time to make a wood carving is 8 to 10 months.
This is a gorgeous hand carved and painted that stands 9" tall , 9" Long and 3" wide.
We are offering Free shipping from Mexico to your door with DHL or FEDEX Service to the US or Canada.
Please feel free to write us if you have any questions regarding any of the pieces in our collection.
