Welcome to Peyote People, we are a small gallery in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We work directly with the Huichol Indians that live in San Andres Cohamiata, Jalisco. We believe that the artist is just as valuable as the art. Peyote People has been recognized by the Huichol Traditional Government of San Andres Cohamiata for its work in the community and started a Fair Trade co-operative that promotes cultural authenticity by working with Huichol that actually live in the Sierra and are actively involved in the presvation of their cultures traditions. The Wixarika (Huichol) people are internationally acclaimed for their artwork.
