Welcome to Peyote People
The Alebrijes mainly come from two towns in Oaxaca called San Martin Tilcajete and Santiago Arrazola. The people from these towns hand carve and paint the Alebrijes. This wood has large quantities of water, thus it is very malleable and easy to carve. Due to the large quantities of water and all the coats of paint, the average time to make a wood carving is 8 to 10 months. This is a gorgeous hand carved and painted that stands 8" tall , 6.5" Long and 8" wide. We are now offering FREE DHL or Fedex express shipping on this piece.
Please feel free to write us if you have any questions regarding any of the pieces in our collection.
